Publication Assignment 2: Cinco de Mayo

ELEMENTARY POWER: McCallum celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Friday, May 13th. An elementary school group came in and danced to some spanish music. There were a few sound difficulties, but the kids went along with it and they were superstars! They were very cute, and the crowd went wild.

DRUMMING IT OUT: The McCallum Samba Dancers performed two songs with their percussion instruments. They were in sync the entire time and they put a lot of fun energy into the theater.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS: A group from Dallas came in and performed a few dances for us. The costumes and outfits were very bright and colorful, and it seemed like an accurate representation of a Cinco de Mayo celebration.

  1. These pictures are serviceable, but I have to admit I have come to expect a higher quality image from you. The captions are not great because you write them in first person POV and express your opinion about the show. You should report a story in captions with an interview and the source's perspective if any is given. 92
